Big Van Vader was a stalwart in the wrestling arena as he competed at the World Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Federation, and New Japan Pro Wrestling. To prove yourself as a “good wrestler” you had to go through a match with this powerhouse.
He copped a few titles during his career to include the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, the WCW Heavyweight Championship, and the United States Heavyweight Championship. However, it was shortly after his retirement that he died in 2016 from pneumonia that he developed after heart surgery.
