Being Watched
As Joe was sitting on the porch, he realized that he had left his phone inside. So he placed his mug on the step outside the front door and ran inside to retrieve his cellphone. He threw the bolt on the door into a locked position as soon as he had sprinted inside. It was this action that had him gasping with relief when he realized – seconds later — just what kind of situation was unfolding on the porch where he had been sitting moments earlier.
