Razors gather bacteria the same way loofahs do. According to Venus dermatologist Jody Levine, “By storing your razor in the shower, you’re increasing the frequency in which you’ll need to change your blade refill.” It’s a known fact that bacteria love wet and environments, and here’s when it gets dangerous. Shaving results in the opening of your pores, making it very easy for bacteria to get in and cause an infection. It’s recommended to dry your razor after each use and store them outside of the shower.
