Did you know that showering after a workout is not all about the odor? It also has to do a lot with potential infections. Women’s health director Holly Phillips explained that bacteria breed in leftover sweat, and we’re lucky if the outcome of that is only acne and rashes. Sometimes this leads to more severe consequences, such as a staph infection. While nothing will probably happen to your skin if you don’t shower after working out, you shouldn’t make a habit of it.
