Researchers from the University of Colorado discovered that more than 80% of showerheads are exposed to Mycobacterium, which causes pulmonary disease. If you’re one of those people who look at their showerheads when they turn on the water, there’s a chance you’re exposing yourself to these harmful bacteria. Luckily, those who have a strong immune system are less likely to be affected by these germs. However, the elderly and immunocompromised people are at risk.
