After a lot of research into old documents – many of which hadn’t been preserved very well – the historians couldn’t explain why no one knew about the cabin or why it wasn’t showing up on any land registries. Eventually, they came up with an explanation that presented them with even more unanswered questions. Someone had actually moved the cabin into the woods.
