War Cabin

The cabin is thought to have been moved between 1953 and 1955, but the reason remains a mystery. What is clear is that the wrecking crew was about to destroy a house whose inhabitants may actually have witnessed the famous Civil War battle of Prairie D’Ane – making it older than the town itself and a real treasure for the local museum. But just when it seemed the matter had been settled, a dispute over the ownership of the property cast doubt on the cabin’s future.
