Prescott’s sudden boom put the town on the map – another thing that would later confuse researchers as they attempted to trace the origins of the old house. Cartographers would later spend hours poring over documents to work out what they’d found. Hidden deep in the woods, it was as if someone didn’t want the house to be found.
