“Born Again”
Amelia, Sanchez’s 65-year-old mother, recalls how it felt to be given the news that her son was alive: “It was as if our son had been born again.” But Amelia knew that simply finding him didn’t guarantee that he would come home and resume his relationship with his family. But she desperately wanted to see him. But more importantly, she wanted to know why he had chosen a life of solitude.
