The beginning of a legacy
It is accepted that the club was first formed on the 17th of March, 1948, in Fontana, California. The Bishop’s family and some other WWII veterans who were part of some motorcycle groups created the Hells Angels. It is said that the name came from an associate of the founding members named Arvid Olson. Olson was a part of the Flying Tigers, also known as the ‘Hells Angels’ squadron, who was in China during WWII.
