Virginia Union University, Virginia
There are several schools vying for the title of “best college in America” and a school which doesn’t appear to be taking part in that competition is Virginia Union University. It’s no secret that the school has struggled to keep up with others, and it’s mostly due to numbers, and there are many harrowing statistics.

Only about one-quarter of the students who enroll, graduate. They then leave with a degree and $24,524 in debt and about 15% of them end up defaulting on their debt. This is despite having an employment rate of 92% within two years of graduating and a median salary of $32,000.
