Top US Colleges to Avoid

Benedict College, South Carolina

South Carolina is home to few colleges, some great, some not so great. On the list of not-so-great colleges is Benedict College. Why? There are many reasons. Firstly, only 31% of those enrolled, end up graduating with a degree. Secondly, there’s a high amount of debt associated with graduating, despite its low fees.

Here’s what’s confusing. The college’s annual tuition averages $9,184, yet students end up with an average debt of $45,144. When you learn that your median salary will be $25,500, you might as well leave your application blank. What’s more, is that many graduates default on their debt payments.
