Philander Smith College, Arkansas
Philander Smith Colle has been praised as one of the most historically black colleges or universities (HBCU) across the country because it celebrates and accepts students from different backgrounds especially minorities. The college covers many bases, but it is also lacking in others.
Despite only having 760 students, the school seems to have trouble keeping hold of them. Most of them end up dropping out before reaching the end as approximately 30% graduate. The median salary is $10,000 below the national average six years post-graduation, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that students decide to pack up and leave.
