Luther Vandross
In January 1986, Grammy Award winner Luther Vandross lost control of his car while driving in Los Angeles and swerved into oncoming traffic. His passenger was killed, and four others involved in the crash were injured. Vandross pleaded no contest to reckless driving and later settled a wrongful-death suit with the victim’s family.
