Nip/Tuck (2003): There is a lot problematic with Famke Janssen’s storyline on Nip/Tuck, not least of which is having gender reassignment surgery to win the love of a heterosexual man. Janssen has a career littered with problematic parts not deserving of her considerable talents, but she always brings a dignity to them. Ryan Murphy’s next series Rise is hopefully going to correct his history of casting CIS actors in trans parts.
