In Chasing Amy, Joey Lauren Adams played the bisexual comic book artist Alyssa Jones with equal parts street-smarts and vulnerability. It’s a phenomenal performance in what is sometimes, to modern eyes, a problematic movie. And it’s a downright shame Adams doesn’t have a bigger career as a result of it.
