Before a starring role in “Mallrats” launched his acting career, Jason Lee was a professional skateboarder in the late ’80s and early ’90s and was featured in “Video Days,” Spike Jonze’s influential skate video. “I grew up skateboarding; it was fun,” he told IGN in 2000. “I didn’t think about money, I didn’t know how much professional skateboarders made. I just knew that if I became a professional skateboarder, I would achieve a lot and get to travel and do these great things.”
