Ted’s future children David Henrie and Lyndsey Fonseca, filmed all of their scenes in 2005 to appear young throughout the series. The scene showing their reaction to Ted’s story was also filmed in the same year. “We were sitting on set, then out of nowhere, everyone leaves,” Henrie explained. “They bring in these contracts. Lyndsy and I sign them. Then the show runners go, ‘We’re going to tell you how the show ends.” And so, the two found out how the show ends at the very beginning of filming, though they did not tell a soul about it.
