Hiding a Pregnancy
When Alyson Hannigan, who played Lily on the show, got pregnant during filming, the writers faced a dilemma. They didn’t plan to have her character pregnant so they wrote around it and used various TV tricks to hide her belly. However, they did once use her pregnancy during an episode when Alyson’s character participated in a hot dog contest and ended up winning it. She showed off her bare belly after eating all these hotdogs.
