During the show’s third season, a Canadian-American actress Cobie Smulders learned that she has ovarian cancer. She underwent two years of treatments and several surgeries without revealing anything to the public. She beat cancer and was officially declared cancer-free after battling it for more than two years. In 2016, she made the story of her battle with cancer public to create more awareness about the cruel disease.
