Jim Parsons Auditioned to Play Barney
Jim was almost cast as Barney on “How I Met Your Mother.” There was even an online fan theory that the Big Bang Theory star was Barney from another dimension. Parsons confirmed this theory and revealed that he auditioned for that part at one point, but the role went to Neil Patrick Harris. He wasn’t really upset about it, “Look, it all worked out fine … Neil’s better for the part, let’s be honest,” Parsons said. In fact, he was earning around $27 Million per season for his role in “Big Bang Theory”, so it wasn’t a total loss for him.
