In the final episode of season seven, Lily went into labor. Hannigan’s newborn child was supposed to play Lily’s child on the show. However, they later decided that her child was too old. “They fired my kid from that role. She was gonna be the baby, but Carter Bays was like, ‘Nope. She’s too old,’ and she got replaced,” Hannigan said.
