The Meaning Behind McLaren’s Pub
Many viewers are wondering where the famous McLaren’s Pub got its name from. It was actually named after the show’s associate producer, Carl McLaren. The bartender who works there is also named Carl. This fictional bar is based on a much larger bar called McGee’s. It’s located at 240 West 55th Street, between 8th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan and Broadway, just a few blocks away from Times Square in Midtown Manhattan.
