Not Only Men Were Pirates
Yes! There were some really dangerous women terrorizing the oceans with their ships, too. Except for the already mentioned Ching Shih, there were some more female pirates that were really dangerous and cruel. Some of them were Anne Bonny and Grace O’Malley.
Actually, Anne Bonny was friends with Calico Jack and another female pirate Mary Read. The trio raided fishing boats and trading sloops for an entire summer until pirate hunters captured their ship and executed Jack. Anne and Mary were spared when they were found to be pregnant.
