In July 2002, a 15-year-old girl with Down’s syndrome named Salma Saleem, fell more than 20 feet from the Ferris wheel at the Gulliver’s World Theme Park in Warrington, England. The girl had apparently managed to get out of her seat, where she dropped and suffered a fatal head trauma.
