Las Vegas, Eight Decades Ago

Today, the lights from Las Vegas could probably be seen from space. Eighty years ago, that was not the case. All those years ago, The Strip was just that…a strip of road with barely any buildings on one side of the road. One of the first hotels built in the Vegas area opened in 1941 by mobster Busgy Siegel. He saw the opportunity to create resorts and even started booking talents shows before his untimely death. Part of that area in U.S. 91 is now the location of The Strip.
