19. Yang Liwei’s Creepy Knock-Knock Story
An astronaut heard “someone knocking the body of the spaceship just as knocking an iron bucket with a wooden hammer.” The ‘lucky’ astronaut is Yang Liwei, the first astronaut sent into space in 2003. He looked outside to see what knocked into the ship and there was nothing there – plus, since space is a vacuum, there should be no sounds from outside the ship. Liwei wasn’t the only astronaut hearing the knocking – in 2005 and 2008 two other astronauts heard it too!
