Because of the strange circumstances surrounding his death, Le’s autopsy was expedited. According to the Tarrant County medical examiner, Le died of pulmonary tuberculosis, an infectious disease responsible for about 500 deaths in the US per year. Texas is one of four states with the highest TB rates.
