Douglas’ death is being attributed to the so-called “Queensberry Curse,” which dates back several generations. Examples include Lady Beth’s half brother’s suicide in 2009 and her half-sister’s marriages to two of Osama bin Laden’s brothers, one following the death of the other in a plane crash. The curse is linked to the ninth Marquess’ involvement in Oscar Wilde’s downfall.
