13. Forgotten Until 2001
Even if Atlantis was a city with a really significant historical meaning, she remained unknown and forgotten until 2001. Only a few knew what was hidden beneath the man-made lake. Nowadays there have been built resorts and experienced divers are allowed to explore the lost city and the government is considering to open the city to the tourists, but nothing is sure yet.
