According to passenger, Benji Smith, claimed that by law, passengers aboard a cruise ship are required to undergo a briefing about safety within about 24 hours of embarking on a trip. But Smith not only called the briefing a “sales pitch,” but passengers who boarded the ship at Civitavecchia had not been present at the initial briefing.
