You’ll need your ID to get off at port calls. Most cruise lines require you to provide a passport as another means of identification for cruises that start in one port and end in another. Yes, a passport does serve as an ID as well. But make copies of both and keep them in a checked bag just in case you lose the one at hand. You don’t want to get stuck anywhere, sea or land.
