Finding Answers
As the team backtracked the events to find out why the puppies met such a dire state, they started with the person who made the emergency call. The witness explained that the firefighters’ theory was incorrect and she told the story of what really happened. They finally breathed out a sigh of relief.
They were not abandoned by anybody, thankfully. According to the witness (AKA the caller), it had rained heavily earlier in the day and the little pups had been swept by the strong stream until they ended up in the drain. They gasped at the adventure the babies must have gone through, but they were also happy that they weren’t abandoned as they previously thought.
