En route to the site, they each recounted in their heads all the protocols and precautions they need to take. Frankly, they did not know exactly how much fire they were going to face and if there are others that might need rescuing. The caller said there were some animals trapped, but it was too early to say whether the job would be easy. In addition, handling animals in distress was a different story altogether. 

Much like us humans, animals have different responses to crises. Some manage to remain calm while others turn hysterical and violent. The firemen didn’t really know what types of animals had been trapped and the extent of the emergency they were going to deal with. They just knew that they need to be prepared mentally and physically for anything that might happen.
