Firemen Rescue Tiny Pups, But When Mom Steps In It’s Too Late

At The Site

When the truck arrived at the site of the fire, the team immediately jumped off and prepared to assess and address the situation. Within seconds, they got themselves to the storm drain where they were told the animals had been trapped. Luckily, it was not raining that day, so it was quick and easy for them to assess if the situation called for serious intervention.

If it had been raining, the animals in the storm drain would have drowned. The enclosure was not welcoming at all. It was dark, deep and cold. They imagined the fear and distress that the trapped animals had probably been feeling for hours. Worse, they could be very young animals — which means they needed to act extra fast.
