Claude Monet Poses In His Garden

While traveling via train through Normandy, French artist Claude Monet caught a glimpse of the scenic village of Giverny in France. He then decided to buy a house and lot in that same location in 1890. He filled his garden with lily pads, which eventually became one of his favorite subjects. The Impressionist painter was photographed in his garden in 1905. Thanks to this colorized version, those who admire Monet finally have an idea of where he mainly drew inspiration.
