Survivors of the Titanic
The British passenger liner called Titanic hit an iceberg and sank into the ocean in 1912. There were thousands of people who passed away but there were others who survived the tragedy. It was captured in a photo when the Cunard Line transatlantic passenger steamship called Carpathia took in some of the survivors from their lifeboats. Captain Arthur Henry Rostron and his crew were able to save 705 passengers. Carpathia was sailing from New York City to Rijeka when it received Titanic’s distress signal.
