Hippopotamus Swims In the Ocean

This striking photo captured by American journalist Michael Nichols is as real as it gets. A hippo was accurately photographed in 2000 while taking a dip into the Atlantic Ocean. Apparently, hippopotamuses find pleasure in swimming in bodies of water. Omar Bongo, who was then-president of the African country Gabo, saw the picture and came up with the idea to create a special space for the wild animals. Soon enough, a system of national parks was built to serve as a habitat for the hippos and other creatures.
