Ham the Chimpanzee
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA wanted to see if they could send a humanoid into space so they “employed” Ham back in 1961. Ham was the first chimpanzee to be sent into space. Fortunately, his mission outside the planet turned out well. After completing his 420-mile ride in a Mercury capsule, Ham the Chimpanzee happily received an apple from a crewman of the U.S.S. Donner. The tasty fruit was his first food since successfully doing his part. He had rightfully earned it.
