The Tasmanian Tiger

The thylacine was yet another now-extinct animal that was photographed in the early 20th century. Also called the Tasmanian Tiger or Tasmanian Wolf, this wild creature was hailed from the island state of Tasmania, New Guinea, and the Australian mainland. This Tasmanian tiger happened to be the last to be captured. Sadly, it passed away in 1936 in the old Hobart Zoo. Thanks to these pictures, modern-day people can have an idea of how extinct animals look during their time.
