The Eltz Castle

This medieval castle in Wierschem, Germany is straight out of a fairytale. The same family has called this majestic place their home for more than 850 years now. Known as the Eltz Castle, it was initially erected back in the 11th century and was ultimately completed in the mid-16th century. Since 1540, the Eltz family has displayed the medieval beauty of their abode. Outsiders get the chance to visit two-thirds of the estate from April to October.
