Ancient Egyptian Dignitary c. 3500 Years Ago

Fransesca Lallo/Phillipe Froesch

Nebiri was a man from Ancient Egypt whose mummy gave us the oldest evidence of chronic heart failure and severe gum disease. It is estimated that he died between the ages of 45 and 60 years old. Using computed tomography, the results show the facial recreation of a man in his 50’s with sharp jaw bones, a prominent nose and slightly thick lips.
