Ms. Spitzer Found Her Own Escape to Freedom
After being forced into a death march, Helen Spitzer and a friend snook out of the march and made efforts to blend in with locals who were fleeing their hometowns. They managed to escape to the first all-Jewish displaced persons camp and refugee center for Holocaust survivors.
