An Odd Request
I try not to repeat this story because no one tends to believe me. But one time, this seemingly put-together man walked in confidently and asked my boss for a loan. Things seemed to be going fine until he stated the reason for the loan. He wanted to hack off half of his ring finger and both of his big toes so that he could eat them. My boss didn’t know what to say.
