The Mail Order Bride
When I worked as a loan officer, this guy came to me, wanting to refinance his home to get money to pay for a mail-order bride. The pictures he sent of his house were like something a celebrity would have, so we googled the address he listed. It was a giant mound of dirt. It’s safe to say he had to get his bride some other way.
