Their Money, Their Choice
An elderly lady came to me for a loan because she wanted to help her “friend” in India. She’d tried to wire him money before but he said he didn’t get it, although someone had collected it. Since he was on the verge of losing his home, she needed a larger sum of money to help him out. I reported that I thought it might be a scam, but my bank could only do so much since she was doing it of her own free will.
