Was It a Sinkhole?
Sinkholes can simply appear when least expected, due to a depression in the ground and they can swallow not just a house, but entire neighborhoods. But Simon was lucky because there was no sinkhole under his driveway. It actually was a man-made hole, he realized as he started digging out the pavement with his father.
