Tribute Flag
It was fortunate for them, that both Walter Brown and his son-in-law had served in the marines. It was clear that this was what the people call a “tribute flag”. That is a flag of a fallen marine, and the people that had signed it, are his squadmates. It was a shocking revelation to them, especially since they have served their time as well, and knew what it meant to lose a brother in combat. They knew that they couldn’t just leave the flag like that. They had to do something.
