The Warship Hamilton Laid In Wait

In August 8, 1813, the US Navy warship, The Hamilton sank in Lake Ontario, Canada and took 53 sailors with it. The warship featured the beautiful figurehead of Diana, the Roman goddess of hunting. But in 1973, the ship was found almost two centuries later by Daniel Nelson, a dentist from St. Catharines, Ontario. Its cannons had seemingly managed to remain intact after all that time.
