Blackbeard’s Cannon Went Down With The Ship
In 1718, the English pirate, Blackbeard took his ship the Queen Anne into battle in North Carolina. The remnants of his ship and over 250,000 artifacts were found in 1996 by Intersal, Inc. Among them were 31 cannons, including the largest, which weighed up to 3,000 pounds.
